These figs are noted for their delicious, nut-like flavor and tender, golden
skin. A popular favorite for eating out of hand. May be used in fig bars
and pastes. Preservative free.
Calimyrna is the California version of the Smyrna fig, which was imported
by a San Joaquin Valley grower.
Storage: Easily kept for reasonable periods of time. Best if kept in
an air tight container at a maximum temperature of 45 degrees F (7 degrees
C). It is a good idea to use fig stocks within 6 months because they may
tend to sugar and darken in color (this is a natural process).
