This heirloom pea dates back to before 1773. The sturdy 24-30” vines produce
beautiful purple blossoms that turn into pale-green pods that are stringless
and fiber-free. No staking required. This heirloom pea is well-suited
for steaming or used in stir-fry. Plant early in spring when the ground
is workable, 1-1 1/2 inches deep, 1 inch apart. 65 days.
