The Lundberg family has been growing rice in Northern California since
1937. Nutra-farmed long grain brown rice is grown using the state of the
art ecological farming techniques as not burning the rice straw after harvest,
using minimal pesticides, herbicides or commercial fertilizers, employing
nitrogen fixing cover crops to enrich the soil, encouraging migrating waterfowl
to inhabit the fields during winter to provide natural fertilizer and natural
straw decomposition, and practicing water conserving irrigation.
