Plastaket Mfg. Co Inc. Grain Mill Attachment – 1 each
Grain Mill Attachment
Easy to use, perfect for grinding oats, wheat, corn meal or even coffee. The
Grain Mill attaches quickly and easily to the Champion Juicer. This eliminates
the need for a separate appliance for grinding. Constructed of all die-cast
aluminum, the compact mill is built to last.
Operated by the Juicer’s heavy-duty 1/2 hp General Electric motor, the
mill is easy to clean. A simple front adjustment knob makes the mill easy
to grind fine or course grains such as oats, wheat, rye, barley or rice.
The sharp, cool-cutting blades are designed to shear-cut the whole grain
into microscopic granules, without fine dust, leaving bran fiber roughage.
The granules of endo-sperm elements are blended for goodness and readily
hydrated to make delicious foods. All ground grain is self-bagged, thereby
maintaining a clean, dust-free work area in the kitchen.
Materials recommended to be run with the grain mill attachment: Any grains
such as wheat, rye, barley, rice, coffee beans, peppercorns, mung beans,
dry millet, cracked soybean, quinoa, dried white navy beans, buckwheat,
dried corn kernels, kamut and spelt (kamut and spelt may be only run in
small amounts or until the unit becomes warm).
Materials not recommended to be run with the grain mill attachment: Nut
meats, dried beans, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), dried herbs, sesame seeds,
popcorn, amaranth, lima beans or other types of seeds with soft centers.
Running any material containing soft center will gum up the grinding blades
and cause the unit to overheat.
Important notice: Due to the close settings of the grinding plates, certain
grains such as oats, rice, kamut, spelt or soft wheat are so fluffy that
they actually begin to build up and pack inside the unloading portion of
the grain mill. Occasionally operator should unsnap the canvas bag on
the front side and check to be sure the flour is falling freely. If packing
should occur you merely tap lightly on the front plate directly below the
adjustment handle with a wooden mixing spoon. This will allow the material
to flow into the holding bag without packing and overheating.
